“Koivisto” is a very friendly and welcoming yacht-club, which is developing dynamically. It is located in the centre of Primorsk on the Gulf of Finland coast.
The club opening has taken place in 2014. The marina currently includes 80 berths and it is planned a further subsequent extension.

Swedish name Björkö means "birch islands". This was the name of the islands surrounding the strait - Björkösund – birch strait. Exactly in this place there were ancient trade routes between the West and the East.

The first mention of settlements in the bay of Koivisto dates back to the IX-XIII centuries.
In the late XV – early XVI century Björkö was often referred to in historical sources as a settlement with the parish chapel.
